Georgia Flight, The History of Aviation in Georgia 1907-2007

Georgia Flight book coverIn 1907, Georgia aviation pioneer Ben T. Epps piloted his own aircraft about 100 yards across a cow pasture near Athens, Georgia. That historic flight in 1907 set the stage for an industry that today ranks among the leading economic generators in the state and touches all Georgians in one way or another. The economic impact from the four primary areas involved in Georgia aviation-military, manufacturing, general and commercial aviation-measures in the billions of dollars. Aircraft manufacturers, airports, military bases and dozens of other business related to aviation offer jobs, pay taxes, contribute to charities and generally contribute to the economies of communities all over the state.

as well as numerous organizations, companies and individuals involved in the field of aviation. The story of aviation.
