SENATE PASSES THREE-MONTH EXTENSION
Action Clears Way for President to Sign Bill Into Law
June 26, 2008

With the current FAA extension set to expire in a few days and lawmakers about to adjourn for the July 4th recess, the United States senate this morning passed a bill to extend aviation programs and excise taxes through the end of September. The three-month extension would allow the FAA to distribute the remaining AIP funds that airports are slated to receive during the current fiscal year.
